Owning A Dog Can Be Good For Your Heart

Results of scientific research reveal that dog parents showed a reduced pressure of blood, have a level of cholesterol that is healthy, less likely to get a heart problem, and have a low probability of experiencing heart attacks than those without dogs.

The probable reason for this is because dogs give off motivation and social support so one can engage in any physical activities they prefer. Another possible reason is the calming aura in dogs that can lower the pressure of the blood. As simple as petting a dog can lower it down.

One research that was made in the Gerontologist journal states that walking a dog can cause a decrease in your body mass index (BMI), lesser limitations in your daily living activities, lesser visits to your doctor’s clinic, and help your body get involved in an exercise that is vigorous and moderate. The great catch about this is it doesn’t feel anything close to an exercise.

So instead of resentfully trying to bring yourself to a gym to work out, you can enjoy bonding with your best furry friend.

In addition, your furry family member might just be your greatest fitness buddy who can be a good motivator. Nothing can be more clever than a pup in getting you to move and go outdoors, even if only to ward off more torn pillows or misplaced socks.
