Tips For Picking Cat Litter

One of the great things about cats is the fact that they are so clean. Your kitty will use a litterbox to see to her needs. However, while choosing cat litter isn't exactly rocket science, there are some things to keep in mind.

If you have a kitten, you'll want to stay away from clumping and clay litters for now. These are fine for adult kitties, but baby cats are a bit clumsy, and can accidentally ingest litter. This is very dangerous! Some cats also don't care for heavily scented litters, while others may prefer or dislike certain textures.

Your cat can't tell you her choices in the matter, so the main thing for you to do is just watch how she reacts to a new litter. If you change brands, and your kitty starts avoiding her litterbox, it's probably safe to say your pet isn't impressed with the new brand. Go back to your old one.

Ask your professional veterinary clinic Helotes TX for more information on choosing cat litter.

Gray and White in Horses

Did you know that white horses are often called gray instead of white? There’s actually a reason behind this. There is actually a difference between a white and gray horse and your vet can help explain it. In general, gray refers to the coat color of horses. A gray horse typically has a silver coloring to his coat. Most grays have black skin under the coat and dark eyes. Adult grays tend to have white, dappled or white with other colors in their coats. Gray horses may be born a different color, but slowly turn lighter or grayer as they age. A white horse; however, is born white and stays white through his entire life. White horses generally have brown, blue or hazel eyes. Their underlying skin is typically pink. A true white horse that carries the dominant “white” gene is rare. Bonding with a new pet

You have a new pet coming into your life soon and you want to make sure you are there for her whenever she needs you. How can you begin to form a close bond with her?

Your new addition will need some time to get used to her new environment as well as the individuals within it. This means that you will need to take the time to gradually get her familiar with them in a comfortable way. Ease her into time spent with your family by making sure you are able to expose her to them when she is receptive to interaction. The more you respect her space, meet her needs, and socialize with her, the easier it will be for you to get to know her. This will help her get to know you as well so you can begin to form a close relationship. For more information, please contact your local vet clinic Helotes, TX.
