Kitties are very
quirky. It's not always easy to tell when there is something going on with
them. This can be particularly concerning when it comes to noticing signs of
illness. Cats can be extremely secretive about this.
Poor grooming is
one thing to look for. Kitties are very clean, and they usually take good care
of their coats, but they don't always keep up with their beauty rituals when
they are sick. This can result in matted, greasy, or tangled fur.
Other warning
signs include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, respiratory issues, and discharge
from the eyes, ears, or nose. Your pet may meow more or less than usual, and
she may act uncharacteristically cuddly or withdrawn. Changes in appetite
and/or water consumption can also be signs of illness.
If you notice any of these symptoms in your cat, contact your vet clinic Marion, IA area. Don’t wait: kitties sometimes don’t show symptoms until they’re very sick.
