Weepy Eyes in Cats

Did you know that cats can get weepy or watery eyes? If your cat is scratching at her eyes and you notice the eyes are watery, weepy, or have some kind of clear or cloudy mucus draining coming from them then please notify your vet. It may be nothing, but it’s always best to check the eyes since eye infections can get worse if treatment is not applied quickly. Infections in a cat’s eye are not uncommon, but most often require immediate treatment by a veterinarian professional. Infectious agents and viruses are one of the more common causes of eye infections in cats. Allergies, injury, trauma, and every day dust blowing around in the wind can also cause your cat to develop weepy, watery eyes or even mucus discharge. In older cats, eye infections may be the result of an underlying condition such. Click to call with your vets Anderson, IN about appropriate treatment.

Feeding your iguana

You have an iguana in your life now and you want to help her stay as healthy as she can be. What should you be feeding her to help her get the nutrients she needs?

Your new companion is a herbivore, which means she will need to consume a plant-based diet. She will need a variety of fresh produce to keep her in shape and satisfied. This will likely include a good deal of greens, so be sure to always have appropriate options on hand. These should always be fresh and appealing to your pet, in addition to being clean and cut up to an appropriate size for her to handle. Your iguana will need you to talk with her veterinarian to determine the ideal foods to offer her and what portion sizes will suit her well to keep her healthy and happy.  For more information, please contact your local animal hospital Anderson IN.

Is your hamster eating healthy food options?

Your hamster may be an adorable creature who feels pretty independent, but she definitely needs you to help her meet her needs. This is because she is in your care, and can’t head outside to purchase things from the store to have back in her enclosure, like healthy food options.

To feed your pet a healthy diet, you will need to make sure you are aware of what nutrients her body needs. This will help you identify them in a potential commercial mix. Try to keep things as natural as possible, as this is what her body will be able to process the best. Bring her other options as well, like fresh produce, nuts, and seeds, from time to time. Her veterinarian will let you know what appropriate portion sizes are for your pet, and it’s important to stick to these whenever possible. For additional information, please contact your local vet clinic Anderson, IN.
