Retriever then you are probably very familiar with how unruly the coat can be.
It needs to be brushed routinely to keep it laying down flat and to keep the
tangles and matting to a minimal. The coat also needs to be shampooed and
conditioned as well as lightly dried to keep it healthy, plush and shiny. Talk
with your vet or pet store associate to find out how you can successfully take
care of your Golden’s grooming needs yourself. For instance, you may be told to
brush your pup at least once a day or every other day and to do so slowly.
Never be in a rush. Help your dog enjoy the grooming and to remain comfortable.
Use a brush that will help massage the coat and skin while removing dead hair
and tangles. Only bathe your dog when necessary. Weekly baths aren’t needed.
