Interesting Facts About Belgian Sheepdogs

Belgian Sheepdogs can be shy, while some are aggressive; choose middle-of-the-road pups. Give 1-hour a day of exercise to prevent them from entertaining themselves by causing "costly" mischief. Brushing 15-20 minutes every week is also essential. Although they're generally nice to animals they've grown up with, Belgians may chase animals who run away from them.

They may also run after cars and joggers; be sure your yard has fences. These smart and alert dogs are born to herd and protect, so train them early and consistently. Despite their size, Belgian Sheepdogs are sociable and love to be involved. They also love to play and are sensitive, so make training fun and positive.

Due to their energy and intelligence, they're not advisable for novice owners. Choose reputable breeders over irresponsible breeders, shops, and mills. They test and clear their dogs from any genetic problems and ensure they have nice temperaments. For more information, contact your vets Marion IA.
