Some Good Habits To Teach Your Pet

When you adopt a pet, you must expect that not all of his habits are good. There will always be bad habits that may either appear immediately or after some time. Nevertheless, consider teaching your pet new habits to make your journey as a pet owner more manageable and convenient. Here are two habits that you can teach your pet:

· Leave It – This habit will be most beneficial among scavenger pets, like dogs. They tend to be curious about almost everything and do whatever it takes to satisfy this curiosity. Teaching your pet to follow the ‘leave it command will come in handy in the long run.

· Don’t Pull – Teaching your dog not to pull will make your walks in the park peaceful. They tend to pull when they see something that interests them. They run in the direction of that specific thing. When dogs know how to follow the ‘don’t pull’ command, chasing your dog will no longer be a problem.

Your pet will benefit from regular health and wellness checks at your veterinary hospital Cornelius, NC.

Will Affenhuahuas Get Along Well With Children And Other Pets?

Because of their small size, the Affenhuahua (cross between Affenpinscher and Chihuahua) can get injured by rambunctious children easily. For this reason, these dogs mostly prefer the company of older kids and adults who are more gentle when playing with them. Affenhuahuas can be a perfect companion for children, though, if they learn the proper way of approaching these dogs at an early age.

On the other hand, in the matter of other animals, Affenhuahuas can get along with them just fine, given a gradual and calm introduction. Early socialization may also help. Although it's ideal that an Affenhuahua learns to socialize early, it's never too late for older Affenhuahuas to get less territorial. Cats and dogs, in particular, can be friends with Affenhuahuas. But generally, this breed likes to be the only pet and isn't really into other pets. Overall, it depends on socialization, training, and luck.
