Do you like to
give your sheep treats? It can help build a relationship with your sheep
especially if you’re trying to bond and get your sheep used to your presence.
But what kind of treats should you feed? Some sheep owners like to feed out
commercial treats that are specifically made for sheep. These treats are often
made of nutrients that sheep in particular need. Other owners may simply feed
their sheep horse treats such as carrot flavored horse ‘cookies’ or apple
flavored ones. Just note that your sheep may or may not like these. Of course
there are also those who prefer to give their sheep animal crackers, gold fish,
or regular saltines (maybe no salt saltines). It’s really a personal preference
of what you want to feed and what your sheep prefer. The main thing is to
always clear it with your professional pet
clinic Westminster MD first and always feed in moderation.

Choosing Between a Purebred and a Mixed Breed Dog
Purebred dogs may be a better choice than a mixed breed dog if you
plan to sell puppies or if your dog has a specialized purpose such as
retrieving game or protecting livestock. Otherwise, it is a personal preference
when choosing between a purebred dog and a mixed breed one. You can get a more consistent
size, look, behavior and temperament with purebred dogs. Individual dogs may
differ slightly but there are generally clearly defined parameters for each
breed as a model of good physical health and reliable behavior. However, if purebred
dogs are not carefully bred, they may accentuate the worst characteristics of
the breed. Mixed breed dogs doesn’t always match what you imagine they’d look like
when they were puppies. Their temperament can vary widely too. However, mixed
breed dogs benefit from good health and resistance to disease because of the
larger variation in their gene pool. Learn more from your veterinarians

Training Your Parakeet to Sit on Your Shoulder
Training your parakeet to sit on your shoulder is a fun trick. Work
with your parakeet to train him to step up on your finger by using an
extra perch pressed to his abdomen just above his feet. Eventually your
parakeet will hop onto your finger so you can take him out of the cage.
When this maneuver becomes the standard way to handle your parakeet,
shift him from your finger to your shoulder. Be direct but move slowly.
Stand still so your parakeet gets used to sitting on your shoulder and
as his confidence grows, take a few slow steps. Gradually increase the
distance and enter other rooms. Ensure all doors or windows are closed.
Talk slowly and softly to your parakeet to keep him calm. When you are
ready to put your parakeet back into the cage, encourage him to hop back
onto your finger. Learn more from your veterinary clinic Auburn Hills,

What to Do If Your Cow Scratches Its Eye

If you find that your cow has scratched or injured his eye (big or small
injury), please call your vet. A scratched eye may be puffy or even swollen. Your
vet may recommend flushing the eye to see if that helps remove any debris that
may be causing the irritation especially if you’re not sure the eye is actually
scratched. Your vet may also need to examine your cow in person. An eye stain can be applied by our vet to reveal possible scratches.
Be warned that the stain will leave a green discharge in your cow’s eye and the
discharge may also exit through your cow’s nose. The result of the test will give
your vet an idea of how to treat the eye. Your local animal hospital Mt. Airy MD may prescribe an eye ointment and recommend you cover your cow’s
eye with a fly mask to protect it while healing.
Is Your Dog Pooping Regularly?
Did you know that your dog should be pooping at least once a day if
not more? If your dog isn’t pooping at all for a day or more then you should
give your vet a call to talk it over or schedule a checkup for your pup. Depending
on the dog’s size, most dogs will go about once a day and maybe even more. Not
going can be a sign of constipation. If your vet finds your dog to be
constipated then he may prescribe a laxative to help your dog become regular
again. Other ways to help your dog get back on track in the pooping department
is to feed him a mix of wet and dry food, feed him vet approved vegetables as
snacks, and take regular walks. Exercise can help get your dog’s system back on
track and running again. Fiber may also be recommended by your vet Des Moines IA.
