When your kitten is sick, it can be difficult to tell whether they're actually sick or just being her independent, eccentric self.
If you're not sure, here are some signs your kitten may be unhealthy:
They seem lethargic and have a decreased appetite.
They're not responding normally to things that would normally cause them to react. For example, if you try to pet them with a toy and they don't react normally (i.e., they don't chase it).
They have an unusual odour coming from their body or their litter box. This could be indicative of a urinary tract infection or other illness.
Their fur isn't as fluffy as usual, and may even look oily or greasy in places where it's normally dryer and fluffier (like the stomach area).
The fur may look dull and unkempt, which could be a sign that they're not getting enough water.
Their behaviour is different than usual. They may be hiding more often or acting more aggressively toward you.
