Preventing Your Senior Dog from Damaging Your Home

 animal hospital bee cave tx
Your dog will become less agile as he ages and he may not be as mentally sharp as he was when he was younger. He is more likely to suffer from incontinence and may seem to have forgotten his house training. However, your senior dog may have become afraid of stairs or slipping. Anticipate when your dog needs to go out and react quickly. Consider installing ramps or non-slip pads to help him feel secure. Your dog may have issues with his eyesight. Keep paths through your home clear so your dog doesn’t bump into your furniture or knock over lamps. Clear the floor of small items that your dog might think is food such as coins or buttons. Your dog might still get excited and inadvertently knock breakables or important papers to the floor so move them out of reach. Be patient and show your senior dog love, for more information, contact your vet Bee Clinic, TX.
