Golden hamsters can get into fights very easily when they are housed together with their siblings so it is better to give them separate homes. This aggressive behavior among siblings usually starts at around 10 weeks old. If left alone, adult males can get into fights that may cause death if they are housed in the same enclosure.
Hamsters are nocturnal animals therefore you might notice that your pet hamsters sleep a majority of the time during the day and start waking up at dusk. It is also best to place their cages where there is less commotion so as not to disturb them while they are sleeping.
