Creating a Safe Home for Your Cat

Have you ever observed your cat sneaking when visitors arrive? Or is your cat aloof towards other house pets? When cats detect a potential threat to their safety and survival, they will exhibit this entirely typical feline behavior.

A cat will withdraw from situations that it perceives to be scary or unfamiliar, such as odd odors, loud noises, strange items, or unknown or unpleasant creatures. However, if your cat's environment includes safe areas, it will stay calm and gently excuse itself.

You should provide your pet with a haven that is a secluded and secure environment and frequently in a higher elevation. A cat will feel safe if it believes others cannot see it, even if its body is visible. Pet owners capture hilarious photographs of their cats peering through vegetation, under curtains, or behind a small block; the cats think others cannot see them even if we can see most of their bodies.
